If you don’t have access to Netflix, now is the time to join and binge!
Food & Wine Magazine (March 2020) highlited that chef Kelis (singer, songwriter and chef) along with Leather Storrs (chef and cannabis expert) hosted “Cooked with Cannabis” on Netflix. If you aren’t familiar with Kelis, you might remember her hit song “Milkshake.” Apparently, she came a long way since creating tantalizing milkshakes that “bring all the boys to the yard,” and she went on to attract viewers to her show on Netflix.
This show was done in competition style with chefs facing off as they created top-notch culinary cuisine while utilizing cannabis as a key ingredient. The show “gained a ton of fans thanks to the creative chefs competing, the panel of comedic judges and the star presenters,” as noted by realitytidbit.com.
During the show three pro chefs competed for $10,000 in a race against the clock as they prepared a three-course meal based around various themes — and of course, they utilized cannabis as a key ingredient. Then a panel of judges, including stars such as former talk show host Ricki Lake, actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and rappers Too $hort and El-P, will offered their insights to help select each episode’s winner.
Here is a little taste of what you can expect when you go check out the show.
